What kinds of clients do you typically work with?
I work almost exclusively with an executive-level clientele. My clients mainly fall into one of the following three categories:
- Career Explorers: People who are exploring their options and interested in changing roles or industries. As a certified career management coach, I’m trained to help this group of clients identify positions and industries that are a good match for their personality, motivated interests, and values.
- Career Hunters: As the name suggests, these clients already know exactly what type of position they want, and they come to me to help them propel their results. These clients are typically good candidates for resume writing and/or job search consulting services.
- Career Conquerors: These are the people who want to always have a leading edge in the workforce and out-perform their competitors. As a certified career management coach, I’m trained to help this group of professional improve their communication, problem solving, conflict resolution, team building, and leadership skills.
Do I need a professionally written resume?
If you’re applying for positions that you’re qualified for and interested in and getting plenty of calls for interviews, the short answer is no. You probably don’t need to invest in a professionally written resume.
However… if you’re applying for jobs and getting nowhere fast, can’t articulate your value on paper to even create a resume, or don’t know how to write your resume to strategically position yourself for the opportunities you want, then hiring me might very well be one of the smartest investments you’ll ever make. Moreover, if you’re currently unemployed or underemployed, my services can easily net you a return on investment with the potential to save you thousands-of-dollars in lost income.
What is the process and typical turnaround time for resume services?
Step One: You complete the request a quote form.
Step Two: I will call you, assess your needs, make recommendations, and then prepare and email you a customized quote based on the scope and complexity of your project.
Step Three: You sign the proposal/agreement that details the agreed on services and then send it back to me.
Step Four: We schedule the first mutually available time to begin the resume interviewing process. Most clients require two separate interview sessions each of which takes an hour-and-a-half. Note that some clients require more than two interview sessions and there is no cap on the number of interviews. During the interviews, I will gather information that will allow me to get to know you, understand the contributions you’ve made to your employers, and understand the context of your contributions. Securing higher quality information ensures a higher caliber resume, and the resume interview is critical in allowing me to capture the most compelling information to market you on paper, including a unique promise of value that will help you stand out from your competitors, win more interviews, and position you for a more successful salary negotiation.
Step Five: I email your resume draft. Typically it takes me five to ten business days to provide you with a draft/drafts.
Step Six: You will have an opportunity to ask me any questions or inform me of any changes you would like made, if any.
Step Seven: A final draft is typically delivered within 24 hours after you notify me of any changes you desire.
How do you charge?
Career coaching, executive coaching, and job search consulting services are charged at an hourly rate of $250, with volume discounts given when purchasing multiple hours of coaching.
Resumes and career marketing documents are quoted individually, based on the scope and complexity of each project. Each client is always given a firm quote in writing before any work is completed. Payment is due in advance.
Your services are more expensive than some of the other companies I’ve called. Why is that?
I’ll be honest, if price is the number one criteria determining who you want to work with, then I’m probably not the right career professional for you.
While I’ll be the first to admit that I’m not the least expensive careers-industry professional, my clients consistently tell me that I’m worth every single penny I charge and more, and that my services consistently provide a significant return on investment.
One final thought on this: A good career-industry professional is expensive; a bad career-industry professional is even more expensive. Enough said.

What if I live in another city or state? Can you still work with me?
Yes, absolutely. While many of my clients live in the Dallas/Fort Worth area, most of my clients are spread throughout the country, and some are even outside the country. Although I prefer to do interview coaching face-to-face, I am able to provide all services via phone, fax, and email, and even available to do video teleconferencing when providing interview coaching services for clients who don’t live in my immediate area.
